Aricin competed in Battle of the Books. Of the 5 Trivium Campuses they picked 4 kiddos to represent. To compete you have to have read a minimum of 16 out of 25 novels on top of your normal studies. At the event they are broken up into teams of 7 kids and given a question- then given 30 seconds to answer and an additional 10 seconds to provide the author. Aricin got a sportsmanship award and got to meet one of the authors. Can't wait to do it again next year.

The Blue Jays had a great year and we are thankful for Coach Nate Mendoza

Saying April and May were busy would be an understatement. In the past 8 weeks we've taken 4 trips to Visalia, a trip to SLO, competed in 2 sailing Regattas for the younger 2, a trip to San Diego, and so much more. The kids have us busy with activities and as crazy as it is, I'm sure in 10 years we are going to miss these moments. It's so fun to watch them grow, mature, and find things that they really enjoy. Aaron just got back from a week in Washington DC and just started his Jackie Robinson year 42. I'm enjoying mentoring girls at the Bethel House through the SB Rescue Mission Auxiliary and Junior League and the Signature Project Committee i'm on that will be actively working to rescue young girls out of trafficking placing them in our safe house. Aricin just finished baseball and is all into Club Waterpolo. Talia just finished club soccer for the season and Oliver's soccer just wrapped up. All of us love to devour books, be outside, and be with each other. We had a special mothers day- bringing cards that read "You are Loved" to an old folks home with chocolates- the women we loved on and hugged were so thankful it was awesome.
