May and June have been a blur to say the least. In May Aricin graduated from pre-school, the kids finished up swim lessons, did a soccer camp, and we took a trip up to Breckenridge.
Before I get started let me re-cap a bit. This spring Aaron had some stuff happen at Valor that left him not really loving his job. As a result he applied for a few jobs and on May 24th was offered a job as the Director of Education at the Santa Barbara Zoo. We are beyond excited about this opportunity and move. We LOVE colorado but have also desired to be back in California closer to family and the beach. In the last 30 days we've... subletted our apartment, fixed up the house, moved out of the apartment, moved into our house, sold our house, and moved to california. Our house went under contract on June 24th- exactly one month after the day Aaron got offered the job. We have packed up EVERYTHING and are currently living out of our duffle bags until we find a place to live. Temporarily i'm with my parents and Aaron is living with our good friends Jason and Zoe in Santa Barbara- I'll be down on the weekends with the kids. It's all kind of crazy and surreal but i'm not worried. I know it sounds crazy i'm not worried. God has blown us away with how he's brought things together and I KNOW he will provide. I'm hopeful for a place with 3 bedrooms that will fit all our stuff but the reality is we'd be just fine in a small 2 bedroom because that's what we've had to do for the last year. God is good and we know he'll provide. Santa Barbara is one of the most expensive places to live in the country. The cheapest 3 bedroom 2 bath home in the city that would need a lot of fixing costs you in the high 600's! We are open to living in Carpinteria or Goleta but prices are pretty much the same there too. it's a high price to pay living near the beach. Pray with us that we would find a place to live and we'd have discernment for that special place God's already prepared for us. And come visit!
